Best of 2020: Beauty Buys

As we all know, we have had a lot of extra time on our hands this year. So I decided to take some of that time and focus on my skincare/makeup products and routine. I’ve learned so much from my research and feel like I have found some great products. Of course, I am no expert and while these work for me, there is no guarantee they will work for all. And even though no one wore make up this year, I had to share my fav products here too!

Shaba Complex™ Eye Serum &
C-Tango™ Multivitamin Eye Cream

Drunk Elephant

Soooo I have the worst under eyes and after looking at a photo of myself and seeing how dark my under eyes truly were. I took the plunge on buying these. Eight months later and I cannot believe how much better they look. Trust me, they are not cheap but worth every penny. From using these, I have noticed the my dark circles are significantly less, my under eyes are brighter, firmer, I have less lines and my skin is more hydrated. I. am. obsessed.

Cils Booster XL Vitamin-Infused Mascara Primer

Lancóme

I have to say, this was a product I had no idea I needed. But I have been so happy with this purchase! This has made my lashes so much longer, fuller and really helps reduce clumps. I have used this primer with three different brands of mascara and the results have been great with them all! This primer is legit. TIP: Apply your mascara while this is still wet. You don’t need to let this dry.

Rose Glow & Get It

Cooling & Brightening Eye Balm

Tula

As mentioned above, my under eyes can always use some love. So when I read that this eye balm can help brighten and lighten them, I clicked buy right away. And I have to say while it does not look as natural on my skin as I have seen on some others, it does give my under eyes a nice cooling sensation and a little brightness that makes me look/feel more awake. In 2021, I will def be trying the blue and orange versions of this product!

Jet Lag Mask

Summer Fridays

Please tell me I am not the only one who gets stressed and that your skin can take a big hit when that happens? Well, luckily for us we have the Jet Lag mask. This mask has helped bring the life back into my skin and give my skin a drink, full of hydration that it needs.

Maracuja Juicy Lip

Color: Rose

Tarte

I am always on the hunt for an everyday lip product that is not as heavy as a lipstick but not as light/sticky as a lip gloss. So when I saw a ton of girls loving on this product, I decided to give it a try. And I think I have finally found my go to! This juicy lip, gives me a nice color, a little shine but is not sticky and looks way more natural then lipstick. I tried the color Rose since it was being talked about the most but have a feeling I will be giving the Strawberry color a try soon too!

Super Bounce Serum

Glossier

After seeing how much I could improve my under eyes from using good serums and creams, I wanted to do the same for the rest of my skin. So I started researching and found that this Glossier serum has great reviews and results. I also feel like I’m see everywhere that you should be using hyaluronic acid 😂 so I had to try it. Since using my skin feels smoother and more firm. I was really worried this was going to burn when on my skin or make my rosacea worse but I am happy to report neither have happened!

Shape Tape

Tarte

While makeup purchases and applications were on the light side this year, that only made them more special when they happened. After hearing how incredible this product was I decided to pick it up and try it for myself! TIP: Take the quiz! I was so overwhelmed with the number of shades they have and was so afraid I would get the wrong one. But the quiz worked great and my shade matches my skin great! I got 22N Light Neutral. I have to say a little goes a long way but when you blend it in, this has great coverage and makes it look like I got a full nights sleep. It also covers any small blemishes I have nicely.

Lala Retro™ Whipped Cream

Drunk Elephant

I don’t know about you guys but in the winter, I can have the driest skin. And I HATE how it feels and can even burn. So after having such success with my under eye serum and cream from Drunk Elephant, I decided to give this product a try. Drumroll pleaseeeeee… so far my skin is loving it! My skin is softer, not dry at all and this has not made me break out. (I’ve been using it for about 4 months.) The product does have a slight odor and as I mentioned before Drunk Elephant is not cheap but has been giving me a ton of reasons to show its worth the cost.

Eye Feel Amazing Eye Masks

Tula

If you have realized yet I’ve been very focused on my under eyes 😂 And I have always been interested in trying out eye masks but have seen some horrible results and reviews. But when Tula launched these I became way more interested. I trust them. Then I saw another blogger post her young daughter wearing them and her skin was totally fine. So I felt safe taking the plunge. And I am so glad I did! These have really helped reduce puffiness, dark circles and help with brightness and smoothness.
